Hellurr guys!
Happy World Jollof Rice day!
In commemoration of this day, I’ll be sharing a jollof rice adventure I had recently!
#Enjoy!
Sunday started incredibly hungry but didn’t end that way.
Kemi and I made out way to Jakael House at the Nigerian Railway Compound for Eat Drink Lagos’s Big Jollof party!!
At the mere fee of N1000, we were welcomed to a proper summer fiesta with beach tables and chairs, canopies and greens, and a jolly chance to bump into old friends.

I inhaled the delicious aroma of barbeque and small chops, but my heart was really on the Maggi stand .
We went around the food fair greeted by Italian inspired Jollof Rice delicacies, Hans and Rene ice cream, scabble games and chill-out music.

Come 3pm sharp, Maggi started dishing out a variety of jollof rice creations.
Asun jollof rice, suya jollof rice, crayfish and coconut jollof rice.

I enjoyed the unusual blend of coconut slathered over the red jollof rice which tasted like it had been completely baptised in crayfish flavour. I enjoyed eating bits and pieces of asun and suya in the yummy jollof rice that was only a few points away from working its way to A star.
And of course, there’s nothing as soothing as water to go with such a delicious meal. We got customised Eat Drink Lagos waters which came with a chance to get customised phone cases.
I also got a nice bag from Maggi which had the quote ‘Ain’t no party like a jollof party’, and I totally agree!
Great food and conversation definitely made a great Sunday afternoon for me.
