#Event: Day 2 Heineken Lagos Fashion and Design Week #HLFDW Highlights.

Hellurr Fashionistas!

The Heineken Fashion and Design Week has been popping so far and we aren’t taking it down a nacho; )

In addition to the Fashion Business Series, day 2 featured House of Kaya/About that Curvy Life, Samuel Noon FF, Ellie Kuame/Gozel Green,  Dzyn,  Sunny Rose,  Davido× Orange Culture, Moofa, Grey, Laza Maleombho and Odio Mimonet

Isaac Geralds performed his numbers on the runway, getting the crowd moving.

Assian showcased as part of the ‘About the Curvy Life’ collection and featured really cool smart casual pieces, with nice bowties and embellishments in their short collars. The curvy life collection itself featured slightly dramatic dresses in the plus size. Toolz made an appearance on the runway for this collection

Samuel Moon’s collection was definitely for the sophisticated woman slash party girl, with stunning architectural cut dresses in bright and dark colours.

Dyzn’s collection featured dresses with dramatic sleeves, necks and collars,  as well as roushing in pastel colours with tinges of bright ones as well. Some skirts were very architectural in their cut, which were a nice touch.

 

Gozel Greene’s collection merged ethnic art with urban fashion with the background colour for most of the clothing as white

House of Kaya had some interesting pieces that reminded me of the Last Samurai, but it was really Arabian themed. It also had layered dresses and jumpsuits with ankara detail and layered sleeves

 

The Elie Kuame collection was simple and elegant. I caught a white/cream blazer on one model paired with a tan bag. I definitely have a good mind to purchase that blazer after this event 😊. A couple of dresses in this collection were also Grecian themed, and I caught a glimpse of a white jumpsuit that looked super tapping😊

You can tell I really enjoyed day 2!

Moofa’s collection was super amazing, featuring layered dresses and skirts in bright colours, cute bows and models strutting to a Beyoncé number.

Aphrodija performed as the Sunny Rose collection models catwalked down the runway in their chiffon head wraps and dresses

The Davido x Orange Culture collection was sleek with amazing tee shirts, shorts, pants in white. Some of the designs were the quintessential Orange Culture ones, that give the wearer the ‘creme boy’ air. It was cool sha.

The DNA collection by Iconic Invanity featured a lot of black dresses with red detail, with Osas Ighodaro Ajibade rocking one of them on the runway.

 

The Grey Collection was really nice with the models sporting red caps.

 

 

There were even more highlights.
