#Event: Day 4 Heineken London Fashion and Design Week #HLFDW Highlights.

#Hellurrr!!

Saturday, the 28th of October was the finale of the amazing Heineken Lagos Fashion and Design Week 2017. It’s been an exhilharating ride, and did they save the best for the last? You tell me😊

The last day featured the following designers: Imad Aduso FF,  Mo Agusto FF, Kiki Kamanu, Kenneth Ize, Abiola Olusola, Onalaja, Meena, Iamisigo, Christie Brown, Tsemaye Binitie, Maxhosa by Laduma, Bridget Awosika, Gert Johan Coetzee, Maki Oh

Imad Aduso’s collection was bridal inspired, with really cool designs. I’m not sure I was satisfied with the tailoring though.

Kimi Kamanu’s collection had a variety of interesting pieces and featured Beverly Osu and Denrele Edun on the runway.

Abiola Olusola’s collection had a casual feel to it.

Onalaja’s collection featured whites, greys, reds, blacks, fringing detail and patterns. It also showcased elegant blouses including the currently trending blouse with layered sleeves.

Mo Agusto’s collection was quite interesting, especially in terms of colour: The shades of blue really caught my eye. The collection also featured short and mid length dresses and jumpsuits

I loved Meena’s fabric choice, with patterns so alive. The dress Makida Moka modeled and the chiffon trouser pieces really caught my eye. I think it was an adventurous collection that was well played. There was also an effortlessness about many of the pieces.

IamIsigo’s was okay, I guess. I liked a few pieces, but think I got a rushed vibe overall.

Christie Brown’s collection had a solid Amish theme, with infusions of Ankara and velvet, which was quite interesting. It was very creative and  sophisticated. I liked this collection a lot.

Tsemaye Binitie’s collection was cool, with mature, lady like pieces with touches of shimmer, lace, traditional patterened fabric and fringing detail

Maxhosa by Laduma breathed South Africa with its exquisite knitwear, featuring button down,  throw on, collared and boyfriend sweaters.

Bridget Awosika’s collection was super chic, featuring beautifully styled and well tailored blouses, classes pants and demure dresses.

I’ve been thinking of different places to rock the violet skirt I saw😊

Gert-Johan Coetzee’s collection was my absolute favourite. It was incredibly creative and out of the box.

In commemoration of the day 4 finale, I’d like to take a poll on everyone’s favourite day and overall favourite designer. Please leave your thoughts in the comment sectio😊

What was your favourite day at #HLFDW? Day 1 Day2 Day 3 Day 4?
