Hellurr guys!
I had a bit of fun this week! I hung out with my friend Bie at The Backyard Bar and Grill. It was more like a cool, laid back kind of hang.
SCENERY/ATMOSPHERE
The scenery is outdooorsy- reminding me of Crust and Cream, albeit the heavy shisha atmosphere. I liked the Backyard Logo, grafitti and the beautiful swingset that greet you when you wall in on the side. There were many benches, with many groups seeming to have a fun time nodding to old country and rock music. I feel like I got the vision of the place: chilling at your backyard, having grilled food and a good time.

MENU
I had Skewer Fish Suya (N1286) with a side of French Fries (N1143) and mango juice (N2000) which tasted like pineapple juice. I think it was actually pineapple juice . The soft and juicy fish suya came in the form of a kebab clothed in yummy virile peppers. Bie had Teriyaki Chicken (N3190) with coffee (N1000). The Teriyaki chicken was different and quite tasty with a lot of soy sauce and a slightly chocolatey flavour. I loved the baskets Backyard homed the Teriyaki chicken in, as well as the bendy straws my smoothie came with (apparently, they spell it as ‘smoothy’…lol). Backyard has an efficient way of computing your bills, such that you get a round figure (including VAT).
I think I probably need to go back to have more stuff to do a comprehensive review of The Backyard. From their menu, they had loads of burgers, prawns and sandwiches which I need to try:)
Have you ever been to the Backyard? How did you find the food?
