BACKGROUND

I have begun to have mixed feelings about doing reviews. On the one hand, I want to post great content to grow brands and hang out spots, but on the other hand, I have this almost irresistible urge to hoard my quiet treasure of a place, because I really do not want to see anyone I know when I go to really chill places. I simply want to zone out and be in the clouds.

DESCRIPTION

The Mainland Leisure View Hotel is one of such places. With a smacking pool, affordable pricing,  clean and fresh air, I’d go back many times over.

The Hotel has 4 flags flying over it which I can see from the space between the roof of the pool and the barricade shielding the pool from the hotel’s quaint car park.

The pool barricade is decorated with grafitti, and there are beautiful chairs sprawled below the pool’s platform.

The pool is an absolute pleasure, with the water looking clear blue as it pipes out from the holes drilled into the blue and white tiled pool walls. The walls of the hotel are cream, white and grey, that stand like a delicious cake.  It is hard to believe that this goldmine is in the heart of Surulere.

BRUNCH

I had brunch, which was really their breakfast meal consisting of bread, sausages, baked beans, jam, butter and tea (N1200). I also ordered a carton of cranberry juice (N2000). It was a completely relaxing time at the pool. I was able to unwind and get rid of all the stress of the past weeks.
