#HellurrFashionistas
In light of #Covid19 restrictions, Hellurrrandom is giving its readers a throwback to the most amazing shows from the Fashion Weeks. Up on the blog, we are throwing it back to New York Fashion Week Spring 2020 Collections for some nostalgia and happy vibes. Enjoy.
MAKI OH
NYFW Spring 2020 saw Maki Oh on its streets once again, showcasing adire-tye dye-fabric and some of the models in hair style inspired by 90 animation, The Boondocks. I loved the richness of the adire fabrics, the jersey shirt dress, the elements of fringing, interesting knots, old school elements. Parts of this collection were featured at Lagos Fashion Week 2020.
NONNISTICS
Nonnistics, a fashion brand from the heart of Lagos featured at the New York Fashion Week Spring SS20. It showcased its ‘Erin’ collection under the umbrella of Oxford Fashion Studio. This was a classy but slightly edgy collection, featuring dresses made from velvet, leather, tafetta in navy, plum, green, black, with puffy and layered sleeves and tails and other dramatic embellishments. The collection also featured blouses and pants.

There were also bows. long and short flowy cream dresses, garments with peacock patterns, flowery patterns, some with robes and hi-lo dresses, as well as jumpsuits. This was the ultimate summer collection for me, and true inspiration for months to come.

MARC JACOBS
The Marc Jacobs collection was hippie chic and I loved it, with tweed and pinstripe suites, embellished with tiny chic scarves, hats and trenchcoats and of course, hippie dresses. There were also a few classy dresses in gold that stood out. The Collection also had dramatic dresses paired with leggings.
Colour Palette: wines, reds, yellows, oranges, golds, etc.
MARINA MOSCONE
Three year old Marina Moscone brand featured meticulous and timeless pieces made from silk, cotton, and other timeless fabric. There were suits and little black dresses with couture finishings, including scoop necks, knots and side cuts. The LBD paired with cream pants is remniscent of the Nigerian tailored ‘ngbaladogi’.
Colour Palette: Champagnes, blacks, creams, mints
